“Amtmandens døtre” by Camilla Collett is a very known novel. It is an old book, but it has still got a huge impact on the readers, especially women. It is about the fact that how you get raised often can stop young people, especially women, in developing their possibilities. They are in a way established to suppress their feelings, and that can lead to miserable choices, mostly concerning the choice of husband.
